Geonaute Synchron 300

The Synchron 300 line was the mid range line of sport and outdoor watches relased by Decathlon; these watches include all the basic features a digital watch needs for daily use. It is now discontinued in favor of more design oriented timepieces, which come in more colors but use the same digital modules.

Notes

I used this watch as a daily bater for over a year, and I've been pretty impressed by it's usability: lightweight, comfortable and nice looking. Unfortunately, this particular model as some flaws in the design, which make it weaker than expected. The case design is not really shockproof; the outer bezel broke a couple of times - and I am not working in a tough environment at all. The original rubber band lasted just more than a year, and the case attachment was so silly designed to make really hard - if not nearly impossibile - to properly fit a standard rubber strap replacement. Last but not least, the negative face design needs proper natural illumination, otherwise time becomes difficult to read. Since I am sentimental about my timepieces, I glued the outer bezel and hack the case to replace the band. This watch now is still running strong and I happily wear it from time to time.
